A victory for Wisconities on Pipeline #5 as others around the world keep close eye on the two pipelines in Wisconsin the Bad River Band denies renewal. As the #standingrock standoff continues in North Dakota regarding potential contamination under the Missouri River.
“The Governing Board of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa voted today, January 5th, 2017 to deny Enbridge a re
newed easement to cross 11 parcels of land the tribe owns, and Enbridge is now sending oil thru without an easement contract. The original pipeline (#5) was built in 1953 with an expected life cycle of 50 years. This is the same line involved in the devastating Kalamazoo River, Michigan spill a couple of years ago.”
”
Enbridge has a 28% interest contract in the Dakota Access Pipeline they are trying to put across the Missouri River north of the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota.”
CEO of Indian Country TV Paul Demain posted this today on facebook

Changing the credibility of years of research on how fossil fuel (oil, gas, coal, fracsandmines) and their contamination , spill, and fracking contribute to climate change.
