Do not let the quietness in the Capitol City of Wisconsin fool you! The people from Madison are always creating an atmosphere of hope and strength, from the echos of the walls in the Capitol where the Solidarity Singers can be found, to the jingling of bells from a Santa without a Chimney and if you scurry outside around town you will see the OM Tiny Home Village and for the homeless. While MAMA (Madison Action Mining Alternative) is right around the corner spreading the word!
“We are pleased to report that our December 2016 fundraising print sale for Standing Rock raised $1300 that was split between firewood and fuel for Oceti Sakowin Camp, supplies for Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council and the Madison group constructing yurts for volunteers at Standing Rock. An additional $450 raised by Village Co-housing and community activists was included in the transfers so that general camp fund as well as the medic and healer fund each received $675, and the yurt builders received $400. The kindness and generosity of our community is acknowledged and greatly appreciated. The struggle continues, look for future fundraisers to benefit legal defense funds and continued resistance to #DAPL. Thank you! ”
